Margaret Jane Ellison (Wilkinson)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Jane (nee Wilkinson) Ellison on January 12, 2025. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Robert John Ellison and a devoted mother to Gail Blauvelt and her husband Pete, Gwen Hilberg and her husband Mark, and Greg Ellison. She was a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, James and Margaret (nee Stoecker) Wilkinson, her brothers James(and his wife Elaine) Wilkinson and Charles “Chick” (and his wife Ginny) Wilkinson, as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gene (and his wife Dorothy) Ellison. She is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Margaret's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and her community. She brought comfort and strength to those she loved, and her presence was a source of warmth and reassurance. A skilled gardener, baker and a dedicated neighbor, Margaret was affectionately known as the “mayor” of Carlisle Avenue, always looking out for her neighborhood with a kind and watchful eye.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. (11750 Belair Road, Kingsville) on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by interment at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
