Marilyn "Dolly" Preis

Marilyn J. “Dolly” Preis (née Malstrom) passed away on March 24, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Kyrle W. Preis Jr. Devoted daughter of the late William J. Malstrom Sr. and the late Jeanette Malstrom (née Trinité). She is survived by her loving children: Maria Bulla and her husband Pat Bulla; Kyrle Preis III and his wife Lisa Preis; Joseph Preis and his fiancée Jill Brown; and Daniel Preis and his wife Kathleen Preis. Cherished grandmother of Ashley Preis, Josie Bulla, Kyrle Preis IV and his fiancée Kaitlyn Kozlowski, Keegan Preis, Abbey Bulla, Benjamin Preis, and Luke Preis. Dolly was the youngest daughter and was preceded in death by her nine siblings.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Dolly attended St. Ann’s Parish and graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame High School. She went on to graduate from Mercy School of Nursing in 1955 and began her career as a nurse at Mercy Hospital. She later transitioned to her most cherished role as a wife and mother. Dolly also assisted her husband, Kyrle, with their lawn and garden business in Kingsville until their retirement in 1989. She lived in Kingsville for over 60 years and enjoyed a fulfilling retirement, volunteering in numerous pursuits and spending time with her family. Dolly and Kyrle were lifelong parishioners of St. Stephen’s Church in Bradshaw. She especially loved watching her grandchildren participate in their different pursuits in music, theatre, sports, and animals.

Visitation will be held at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville), on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 8030 Bradshaw Rd., on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Parkwood Cemtery.
