Mark Harrison Dittmar

Mark H. Dittmar peacefully passed away on April 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Mark was the beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia “Pat” H. (née Kuhn) Dittmar; a devoted and loving father to Brian Dittmar and his wife, Courtney; and a proud and cherished grandfather to Brylee and Brielle Dittmar, who brought him immense joy. He was the dear brother-in-law of Kathy Splendido and her husband Lou, and Sandra Kuhn and the late Fred Kuhn. He is also lovingly survived by his two nephews and their families, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A proud and dedicated veteran of the United States Navy, Mark carried a deep sense of patriotism and honor throughout his life. He had a lifelong passion for history, especially as a Civil War enthusiast, and found great enjoyment in creating and tending to his train gardens. Above all, Mark treasured the time he spent with his family—those moments were the heart of his life.

Mark will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
