Mary Gladys Rubino, née Howard, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Rubino and the devoted mother of Sam Rubino and his wife, Michelle; Nicholas Rubino; and Bridget Greiner and her husband, Alan. She was a loving grandmother to Anthony Rubino, Joseph Rubino, Andrew Rubino, and Bridget Greiner. Mary was the daughter of the late William Howard Jr. and Bernadine Howard. She was preceded in death by her siblings, William Howard III, and Virginia Steigerwald. She is survived by her brother, Michael Howard, and her beloved twin sister, Marti Ward, as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

Mary dedicated her career to helping others as an instructional assistant for special needs children with Baltimore County Public Schools. She was a woman of strong convictions who fought for what she believed in and was a advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. Mary was proud of her Irish heritage and was a devoted Notre Dame fan. Her Irish spirit and Fighting Irish pride were a cherished part of who she was—Go Notre Dame! Fight! Fight! Fight!

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday August 13th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, MD 21087. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8420 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday August 14th at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mary Rubino to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
