Michael Joseph Brechin

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Brechin on February 28, 2024. Michael was the cherished husband of Jennifer Nicole (nee Siegmund) Brechin for 25 years and a devoted father to Matthew Joseph and Mitchell Joseph Brechin. He was the loving son of Catherine Lorraine (nee Rathmann) Brechin and the late Melvin Joseph Brechin, and a dear brother to Caryn Lorraine Lawton and her husband Johnathan. Michael held a special place in the heart of his grandmother, Peg Rathmann.

He will be deeply missed by his mother and father-in-law, Ann and Paul Siegmund, as well as his brother-in-law, P. Barrett Siegmund. Michael took pride in his role as uncle to Alayna and Paxton Siegmund, and his memory will be cherished by them and all who knew him. He leaves behind many treasured friendships that enriched his life.

A Memorial Mass honoring Michael will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Towson on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 am. The interment will be held privately.

Michael's loyal companion and buddy, Ranger, a dachshund lovingly adopted through the Dachshund Rescue of North America, will feel his absence. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Dachshund Rescue of North America (www.drna.org) or the National Rifle Association (www.nra.org), causes close to Michael's heart.
