Michael Lee Joseph Burnham

Michael Lee Joseph Burnham passed away on March 9, 2026. He was the devoted husband of the late Marie M. Burnham and the beloved son of the late Lee Jenkins Burnham and the late Grace Marie Burnham (née Flannery). He was a loving father to the late Michael Gillespie, Lester Gillespie, and Trula Marrie Lynn Morris (née Burnham) and her husband, William Morris. He was also a proud grandfather to Victoria Burnham, Stephanie Farruggia, Johnathan Januszkiewicz, Nickolas Januzkiewicz, Joseph Januzkiewicz, and Nicole Gillespie, and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Mr. Burnham dedicated much of his life to service. He served with the Baltimore Police Department and later continued his career in the United States Army, retiring as a civil engineer. Throughout his life he wore many hats, including work in real estate, and was widely known for his remarkable intelligence and lifelong pursuit of knowledge, earning many academic degrees. His career included contributions to classified government and military development projects. Despite his many accomplishments, he was equally remembered for his personality—his morbid sense of humor, quick wit, and the dad jokes he loved to share with family and friends.

Interment will be held privately.
