On September 8, 2025, Michael Joseph Coulthard peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted husband of MaryAnn (nee McCoy) Coulthard; a loving father to Michelle Rodriguez, Marcus Coulthard, and Sarah Bettencourt and her husband Matthew; and a proud grandfather of six cherished grandchildren. Michael was the dear brother of Susan DiNenna and Mark Coulthard and his wife Kathy, and he is also lovingly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews and his former wife Nancy Rhoda. He shared countless joyful memories with his lifelong friends, Ronnie and Elaine Hughes and Charlie and Diana McCulloh.
Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, William and Evelyn (nee Costner) Coulthard, his former wife, Kathryn (nee Novotny) Coulthard and his brother-in-law, Eric DiNenna.
A man of service and honor, Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He went on to dedicate his career to the Maryland State Police, from which he later retired. Beyond his service, Michael enjoyed the simple joys of life—whether hunting, golfing, or cheering for his favorite teams. He was a loyal fan of Reggie Jackson and Peyton Manning and carried a playful sense of humor that could just as easily bring laughter as it could leave you wondering.
Michael’s life will be celebrated at a later date, and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions may be made to the Senator Bob Hooper House (https://www.umms.org/uch/giving/support-a-cause/support-senator-bob-hooper-house).
The Coulthard family deeply appreciates the love, kindness, and support extended to them during this difficult time. Michael will be forever missed, and his memory will remain a treasured part of the lives he touched.
