On April 12, 2023 Nancy B. Akehurst peacefully passed. She was the beloved wife of the late Carville Milling Akehurst; devoted mother of Natalie Ann Marano and her husband Joseph, Heather Lee Akehurst-Krause and her husband George, Vanessa Lynn Finney and her husband Kelly, Allison June Akehurst and her husband Eric Anderson; loving grandmother of Katharine Rebecca Finney, Joseph Genarro Marano, III, Scott Milling Finney, Nicholas George Marano, William Carville Marano and Eva Lynn Finney; dear sister of the late Alma Marie McIntire; she is also survived by a host of loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Further visiting will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Camp Chapel United Methodist Church 5000 E. Joppa Road in Perry Hall from 12:00pm until1:00pm, at which time funeral services will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Camp Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Carville M. Akehurst Scholarship Fund (www.hriresearch.org/scholarship), Camp Chapel United Methodist Church (www.campchapel.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
