Listen to Obituary

On December 5, 2025, Nancy Lou (nee Goadman) Hedrick passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late William M. Hedrick, Sr. and a devoted and loving mother of Cindy Lou Hicks and William M. Hedrick, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Ash Hicks and his wife Kimberly, Breanne Hicks, and the late Krysten E. Hicks, and the dear great-grandmother of Taylor Hicks, Alley Bridges , and Wyatt Hicks.

Nancy truly cherished her family and the precious memories they created together throughout the years. She loved reading, playing Bingo, and enjoying lunch with her friends. In the late 1990s she was proudly recognized by the City of Baltimore for organizing a heartfelt book drive in support of our military—a reflection of her kindness, patriotism, and generous spirit.

Nancy had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. She opened her heart to others, always willing to listen and offer comfort. She lovingly treated her children’s friends as her own and welcomed them into her home with open arms. She also treasured the time she spent with her many beloved dogs over the years, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Her gentle spirit, warm compassion, and genuine love for others will forever live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness.

The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. 7401 Belair Road in Overlea on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday, December 12, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral services celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12:00pm. Nancy will be laid to rest in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to: K9’s for Heroes or Shriners Hospitals for Children, organizations that held special meaning to Nancy.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers shared with them during this difficult time. Your kindness brings comfort and is truly appreciated.
