Nancy C. Zaharis (Burnham)

On September 11, 2024, Nancy C. Zaharis peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was the cherished wife of the late John K. Zaharis, Sr., and a devoted mother to Sophia Jennings, Chris Zaharis, and the late Gus and John Zaharis, Jr. Nancy’s nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Kelly Green, Matthew Jennings, Julie Callahan and her husband Buddy, and Mark Zaharis, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Henry Callahan, Allison Green, and Harper Callahan.

She was a loving sister to Jeanne Bortle and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Nancy’s warmth, grace, and compassion touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, Overlea, on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service to honor Nancy’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 17, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parkwood Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
