Forever in our hearts, we announce the passing of our outgoing son and brother, Nathanael John Behles, age 26, on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at his home in Parkville, Maryland.
At birth, Nathanael was born with spina bifida that often required extensive medical care. His most recent years were spent in acute care at Johns Hopkins Hospital and as additional medical conditions worsened, his brother Adam became his home care assistant. However, Nathanael’s indomitable spirit as always beat all odds and upon discharge to his "Raven’s Man Cave" (as he called it), he was quickly blasting his soundbar at high decibels to "Indescribable" by Chris Tomlinson.
Nathanael had a favorite quote "Don’t diss my ability". He especially enjoyed weekend trips to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania tours and musicals. Nathanael lived an extraordinary life, never taking anything for granted. He often shared the peace he found in music, especially with the artist Michael Jackson. Nathanael felt his music sent messages of healing, love and unity.
He is survived by his parents Michael and Lois Behles and his siblings, Emily, Adam and Hannah whom he adored. The funeral service to honor Nathanael John Behles’s life will be officiated by Reverend D.V. Yost on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 11:00 am ET at Lassahn Funeral Home, 7401 Belair Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236.
His public viewing will be on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Lassahn Funeral Home, 7401 Belair Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236.
We encourage all those who attend either event to wear bright colors, patterns or embellishments as a way to fully honor and embrace the love and joyful spirit that Nathanael embodied in his every day life.
Information regarding a Celebration of Life event for Nathanael John Behles will be forthcoming. If you would like more information regarding the Celebration of Life event, please reach out to contact Emily, Hannah or Adam Behles.
