Patricia Loree Lofft

On September 24, 2025, Patricia Loree (nee Story) Lofft passed away. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edner L. Story and Muriel C. (nee Baumiller) Story; dear sister of the late Donna M. Story and Michael S. Story; cherished sister-in-law of Mary Kay Story. Patricia is survived by her lifelong friend, Joan M. Newman; her loving son, Andrew J. Lofft and his wife Eleanor J. Lofft; her treasured grandchildren, Griffin C. Lofft and Cooper G. Lofft; and many extended family members and friends who will hold her memory close.

Patricia devoted 50 years of her life to a meaningful and impactful nursing career. She served as Head Nurse at Providence Hospital, held roles including Director of Nurses and Director of In-Service Education, and spent 25 years as a dedicated nurse at Johns Hopkins. Her professional life reflected her deep commitment to caring for others. Beyond her career, Patricia was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family. She loved holidays, entertaining guests, and spending time with family and friends. An admirer of nature, she found happiness in watching birds and sharing that simple joy with those she loved.
