With sadness, we announce the passing of Patrick Joseph Reddy, affectionately known as “Pat,” on December 16, 2024. Surrounded by the love of his cherished family, Pat departed this world leaving a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unforgettable memories.
Pat was the beloved husband of Caryn “Carrie” L. Prigel, with whom he shared a life filled with love and companionship. He was the devoted father of Margaret Reddy Clark and her husband Glenn, and the proud stepfather of Jack Prigel. As a grandfather, Pat’s heart overflowed with joy for his two grandsons, Graham and Samuel Clark, who were his pride and delight.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Kenneth L. and Zelda D. (née Green) Reddy, and his dear brother Timothy Reddy, Pat is survived by his beloved sister Colleen Yegla and her husband Edward Yegla, Jr. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, Susan Opdahl and her husband David, Ann Childs and her husband David, and his brother-in-law Bobby Prigel and his wife Pam. Pat’s memory will live on in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, who brought him great joy throughout his life.
Pat shared a special bond with his loyal corgi companions, Cricket and Pippin, who brought him comfort and happiness.
Pat lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. He found immense joy in playing baseball with his grandchildren, horseback riding, camping, hiking, traveling with loved ones, and scuba diving with lifelong friends. A talented cook and grill master, he delighted in sharing meals and wine tastings with those he held dear. Known for his meticulous nature and practical skills, Pat had a knack for fixing anything and took pride in his handiwork.
Though active and adventurous, Pat also treasured moments of quiet reflection and could often be found engrossed in a good book. His zest for life and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will forever remain an inspiration to those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Fork Christian Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12:00pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pat’s honor may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org), a cause close to his heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time.
