Peggy Laura Parks Blondheim, 85, of Kingsville, MD passed away on October 2, 2013, at The Lorien Assisted Living Center, Bel Air, MD. She was born July 5, 1928 in Baltimore County, MD to Helen and (William) Frank Parks. She was raised one of eight siblings. She lived in Baltimore until 1968 when she moved to her current home in Kingsville, MD. Peggy was a homemaker who also worked over the years as a switch board operator, and later as a secretary for insurance offices. She was active with girl scouting in the 1950’s in Baltimore and enjoyed the local bridge club in Kingsville. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her four children Tom Blondheim of Kingsville, MD, John Lawson of Georgia, Donna (Lawson) Holbrook of Georgia, Cheryl (Lawson) Jones of Florida; her grandchildren Holly and Olivia Blondheim, Mike and Adam Wynar, Johnny, Annie, Cheyenne and Cody Lawson. She is also survived by her sister Joan (Parks) Terranova, her brother Bob Parks of MD and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Blondheim, her brothers Bill, Jack, and Glenn Parks, her sisters Shirley Parks and Hazel “Snook” (Parks) Martin and her granddaughter Tamara Barnes.
Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 12:00 noon. Interment Parkwood Cemetery.
