Richard William Daniel

Richard Wm. Daniel, 78, retired JHH Faculty Member & Virology researcher(SPH) under Dr. Keerti Shah, helped create HPV vaccine; died April 7, 2021. s/o Herbert Richard Daniel and Edith Martin Daniel, he graduated from U.MD then served 4 years in U.S. Army, training as a lab specialist @ Ft. Campbell, KY. Sister is Barbara L. Daniel Pickett(Earl) of Appomattox Co,VA. Ric lived first @ Federal Hill, then near the Alameda in Baltimore. His hobbies were wood working, furniture building, photography, fishing, skeet shooting, and racket ball. He entertained friends & visitors @ his home & loved dining out, especially with very close friends Mike & Ann Snead. By the Amazing Grace of Jesus, Richard was generous, honest, & just. He developed lifelong loyal friendships, Celebration of life will be announced later. Interment in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Howard Co.,MD. Memorial donations to charity of your choice.
