Richard Michael Day

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Michael Day on January 23, 2024. Richard was a devoted son to the late Harold Bond and the late Elizabeth F. (nee Rauscher) Bond. He was a loving father to Shannon Day, Katie Finnick, Kelly Day, Matthew Day, and a cherished step-father to Erica and Joseph Campbell. His role as a grandfather brought immense joy, and he was adored by his grandchildren, Liam, Leon and Aurora. Richard was a dear brother to Charles Day and his wife Joyce, Karen Walizer and her husband Bob, Gary Day, Katherine Bond, Steven Bond and his wife Brenda, Michael Bond, James Bond and his wife Meghan. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. In addition, his life was enriched by the companionship of his dear furry friend, Farrah, a loving and loyal dog who was a constant source of joy and comfort to him.

Richard's legacy will forever be marked by the kindness he shared with everyone he met. He touched the lives of so many, leaving behind a trail of warm memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will commence at 5:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org as a tribute to Richard's compassionate spirit and his commitment to those in need.

Richard Michael Day will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
