Robert Thomas East

Robert T. East, born in Baltimore June 5, 1948, passed on September 11, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Lewey Bodies Dementia. He is preceded in death by his parents Ted and Evelyn East. Married to Kathleen Kendall East for 49 years; blessed with a son, Bradley and his wife Erica and grandsons, Owen 4 and Andrew 3 months. He is also survived by Elaine Kendall, Glenn and Vella Kendall and five cousins. Bob graduated from Towson State College. Known for his musical talents on trumpet in the Towson band, Hank Levey Jazz Band, Shades of Blue and Shelley’s Emeralds. For 17 years, Bob performed on trumpet, wrote musical arrangements and conducted the 229th National Guard Army Band. A special memory was conducting the 1812 Overture Complete with live cannons at Baltimore Harbor Place on his birthday.

Funeral services were handled by the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. in Kingsville and are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Go Fund Me for Owen East. (See details on Facebook under Erica Lynn for details of his critical illness.)
