Roy Preston Elder Jr.
On April 5, 2023, Roy P. Elder, Jr. passed away; he was retired from the US Army and a lifetime member of Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Dept.; beloved husband of Joyce F. Elder (nee Bayne); devoted father of Tanya Jazwinski and her husband Thomas and Roy P. Elder, III and his wife Elizabeth; loving grandfather of Jordan, Austin, Courtney and Kyle Barnett, Ivy Rose Elder, Willow Quinn Elder and the late Cameron Barnett; great-grandfather of Kameron; brother of Sharon Elder Rankin and her husband Brent; also survived by many other relatives.
Visiting at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea) on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, and Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11 am. Interment will be held privately. Those desiring, donations may be made, in his name, to Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Dept. at www.bqvolunteers.org.
