On July 26, 2026 Russell S. Dilley, peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his devoted family.

Russell was the beloved son of Jacqueline Esposito and her loving companion, Ed Thamert. He was the cherished twin brother of Dawn Files and her husband, Chris, and a loving brother to Nick Diem and his wife, Heather. Russell was the proud father of his beloved son, Christian Winkler. He was a proud uncle to Isabella and Jayden. Russell is also lovingly remembered by his uncles- Bean, Tommy and the late JoJo, and his aunts, cousins, extended family, and countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him. He was deeply loved by his devoted partner, Jessica Becker. Russell was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mae Esposito, whose memory remained close to his heart.

Russell lived his life with a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and a deep appreciation for the simple blessings that surrounded him. His spirituality was a guiding light providing him with strength, peace, and purpose. He loved to meditate and go deep within. He found peace grounding his feet in the grass on a sunny day. He has always loved the beach since childhood, which brought him calm.

A gifted artist with remarkable talent, Russell found joy in drawing and expressing his creativity. He had a love for retro video games and the music and culture of the 1980s, embracing the nostalgia that brought back cherished memories. Fitness was also a passion of his.

Russell possessed a naturally curious mind and an eagerness to learn. He delighted in sharing his knowledge with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. His kindness, generosity, patience, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His greatest treasure, however, was the time he spent with those he loved. Whether enjoying quiet moments with family, creating lasting memories with friends, or caring for the animals he adored, Russell's love was sincere, unwavering, and freely given.

Russell touched countless lives with his warmth, compassion, and generous heart. Though he is no longer with us, his love, gentle spirit, and beautiful memory will continue to surround all who were blessed to know him.

Though his time with us was far too brief, Russell's legacy of love, compassion, strength, knowledge and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be remembered and deeply missed.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
