Ruth Marie Diepold

Ruth Marie Diepold (nee Mallison) passed away on Friday January 9, 2026.

Devoted wife of Elmer John Diepold (deceased), Beloved Mother of Kenneth J. Diepold and his wife Joyce, and Sharyn E. Diepold and her partner, Kevin J. Reals. Beloved Mom-Mom, to Amy Black and her husband Shannon, Sarah Thacker and her husband Phil, Heather Rezek and her husband Paul and Carlyn Wilder and their wife Mer. And a bonus grandson Jermey Reals and his partner Julia Eltzroth. Also Great-Grandmother to Hayden Rezek and Maxwell Black. Sister to Dorothy LaPole (deceased) and Sylvia Rawley (deceased) and Aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and Overlea-Fullerton Senior Center.

Visitation will be held at Lassahn Funeral Home, Overlea, 7401 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236. Visitation will take place on Tuesday January 13th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 7910 Belair Rd, Baltimore, MD 21236; on Wednesday January 14th at 11am. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in honor of Ruth Diepold to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or to the Kidney Foundation of Maryland.
