Ruth I. Porter (Blucher)
On December 14, 2017, Ruth Irene Porter (nee Blucher)passed away; she was a Girl Scout Leader for 25 years and loved to travel including when she went to the Holy Land with her daughter; beloved wife of the late Harold Gordon Porter, Sr.; devoted mother of Claudia J. Dixon and her husband Darius, Douglas Porter and his wife Carol, Daniel Porter and his wife Jamie (of Belgrade, Montana) and Gordon Porter Jr. and his wife Kim; sister of Evelyn Heinze (of Virginia) and the late Helen, Dorothy, Vernon, Larry, Earl, Edith and Leona; also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Saturday, December 16, 2017, and Sunday, December 17, 2017, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church (Perry Hall) on Monday, December 18, 2017, with viewing from 10:30 - 11 am at which time funeral services will begin. Interment St. Michael Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church, 9534 Belair Road, Baltimore, MD 21236.
