Sandy Weinreich, 59, passed away unexpectedly on August 13th, 2026.

Sandy was born on November 29th, 1966, in Hagerstown, MD to Juanita and the late Paul Frazer. She was the beloved wife of 34 years to Douglas, loving mother of Austin & Ashley and Grant Weinreich; dear sister to John Frazer, Margaret Garber, Virginia Collins; and dear sister-in-law to Dave & Mel Weinreich. She is also survived by her extended family and many cherished four-legged companions.

Sandy shared her love of horses with many friends, clients, and riders over her 35 plus years in the equine industry. Sandy was a Certified Trainer through the United States Hunter Jumper Association. In addition to her Specialized American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) judging card, she held judging cards with five different breed organizations, which allowed her to judge shows across the United States. Sandy was the Head Coach for the Towson University Equestrian Team (IHSA) from 2014 – 2019. She was honored with the Region 1 Coach of the Year award in 2015.

In her early twenties, Sandy rode as a member of the elite Catoctin Mountain Mounted Patrol Unit. She showed in multiple disciplines, first as a youth and amateur before going pro. Her experience and success led to her first farm management opportunity in 1991, when she managed Seven Oaks in Monkton, MD. Sandy spent her life building a reputation in the equine community, which paid off in 2013 when she was able to open her own boarding, lesson, and training facility called Amazing Grace Equestrian Center in Parkton, MD. Amazing Grace was honored to be the first “Horse Discovery Center” in Baltimore County for the Maryland Horse Industry Board. Sandy had incredible pride in each of the clients and horses that came into her care.

While her professional legacy is immense and astonishing, her most special loves in life were her surviving husband, sons, family, and four-legged companions. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, furthermore her unconditional love will never be forgotten.
