Steven Douglas Phipps

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Douglas Phipps on January 11, 2025. Steven was the beloved husband of Pamela Susan (nee Portney) Phipps, sharing 42 wonderful years together. He was the devoted father of Jason Andrew Phipps and his wife Ashley, Joshua Adam Phipps and his wife Brianne, and Brandon Aaron Phipps and his wife Taylor. He was also a cherished grandfather to Brayden, Paige, and Journey, who brought him endless joy.

Steven was predeceased by his loving parents, Clifton P. and Eleanor R. (nee Foard) Phipps. He is survived by his dear sister Linda Bayley and her husband Chuck, his caring mother-in-law Marilyn Strohecker, and beloved nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Steven’s life was rich with love, family, and hobbies that brought him happiness. He found peace in nature, whether boating, fishing, or gardening, and loved relaxing in the pool. A true craftsman, Steven’s talent in carpentry shone through as he meticulously remodeled his home. His passion for his Firebird and his gun collection reflected his many diverse passions. He had a sweet tooth for candy, cookies, and ice cream and a deep appreciation for warm weather, preferring to avoid the cold.

Steven’s kindness, warmth, and meticulous nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his memory will be forever cherished.

The family will receive friends at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., located at 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
