Theda Ecker

Theda (née Marx) Ecker peacefully passed away on April 16, 2026.

Theda was the devoted daughter of the late Sidney and Catherine Marks. She is also lovingly survived by the Ely and Weber families, her dedicated caregivers—Karen, Jodi, Sandy, and Cathy—and the many dear friends she made throughout her life, all of whom will cherish her memory.

A woman of deep faith, Theda was a faithful servant to her Lord and remained committed to her church community. She found great joy in the fellowship she shared with fellow members and treasured the connections she built through her faith. In her quieter moments, Theda enjoyed relaxing while watching Shark Tank, reflecting her natural affinity for numbers and her keen interest in business.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, April 20, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church for a visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at which time funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theda’s honor to St. John’s Lutheran Church .

The family gratefully acknowledges the love, care, and compassion extended to Theda throughout her life and thanks all who have offered their prayers and support during this time. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
