Thelma Virginia Mccarter (Lipscomb)

On May 17, 2013, Thelma V. McCarter (nee Lipscomb) passed away; she is the beloved wife of George William McCarter Sr.; devoted mother of George W. McCarter Jr. and his wife Joyce and Michael B. McCarter and his wife Debbie; also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and many nieces and nephews. She worked as a Medical Assistant for several doctors during her long career before retiring in 1991. She was well known for her compassion for people and her love of medicine. She peacefully passed with her family at her side at the age of 84.

Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Monday, May 20, 2013, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Carney Assembly of God Church, 3319 Summit Avenue on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 11:00 am. Interment at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
