Thomas John Bartenfelder, Sr., 81, of Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Thomas was the beloved son of the late John Bartenfelder and the late Evelyn (Borchardt) Bartenfelder.

Thomas shared his life with his beloved wife, Nancy (Kincaid) Bartenfelder, whom he loved deeply. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was truly the heart of his family.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he dedicated 34 years to Baltimore Gas and Electric before spending nearly a decade working alongside his son prior to his retirement.

Outside of his career, Thomas found joy in helping his family and friends, spending time outdoors, and watching his family grow through the generations. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his son, Thomas John Bartenfelder, Jr.; his daughters, Tiffany Williams and Angela Gorsuch; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara (Bartenfelder) Wilson.

Thomas will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. His kindness, strength, and steadfast devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Thomas's life at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, on Wednesday, July 29, from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30th, at 11:00a.m. at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery.
