On January 5, 2019 Valerie Wiley Smith passed peacefully with her family after a long battle with kidney cancer, (renal cell carcinoma); devoted mother of Emma Fay Smith; loving daughter of William H. Wiley and L. Fay Scramlin; dear granddaughter of Dorothy I. Cronin; cherished sister of Kimberly Wiley, Dana Gruebl and her husband Tony, Christian Wiley and Camille Wiley; loving aunt of Tommy Gruebl and his wife Abby, Anna, Emmy and Max Gruebl; she is also survived by her Aunt Karen Cannon and her husband Jim and a host of loving cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4pm until 6pm, at which time funeral services will begin. Interment is private.
