On January 18, 2023, Verna Ann Wendel (nee Hoffman), beloved wife of the late Edward J. Wendel; devoted mother of V. Inez Wendel, Amy Wendel-Palmer and husband Larry; loving grandmother of Michael Palmer; sister of the late Vernon K. Hoffman, Jr. and Virginia Ruth Schraml; aunt of Frank Schraml.

Funeral services will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea) on Wednesday, January 25, 2022, at 11 am. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Visiting on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 6-8 pm. If desired, contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Division of Geriatric Medicine.
