Violet M. Davidson (Garrett)

Violet (Vi) M. Garrett Davidson died October 18, 2011, peacefully at her home. She was the beloved wife of Frank G. Davidson, Sr., whom she married in 1947 and who predeceased her in 1996. She is survived by four children and their spouses: Frank G. Davidson, Jr. and Clair, of Kingsville, MD; Thomas E. Davidson and Marge, of Spring Grove, PA; Richard L. Davidson and Jackie, of Bel Air, MD; and Phyllis E. Taylor and Dave, of Conowingo, MD. In addition to her loving children Vi is survived by devoted sister, Treva Rimbey, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Born January 6, 1928, in Millers, Maryland, Vi was predeceased in death by her parents Howard and Treva (Richarts) Garrett, sisters Frieda Sundruck and Mary Ruth Lippy, and brothers Kenneth, Russell, Richard and Howard.

After retiring from her supervisory position in 1988 with Social Security Administration, Vi spent her retirement years with family and dear friends, enjoying vacations, holidays, dining out and her Senior Center activities. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Kingsville.

There will be a viewing at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Sunday, October 23, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Kingsville) on Monday, October 24, 2011, at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
