Virginia Mae Gregory (Moore)

Virginia Mae Gregory (nee Moore), born in Staunton, VA, daughter of the late Otto and Pearl Moore, died at her home in Aberdeen, MD on June 16, 2011. She was 85 years old and is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Wilbur Leroy Gregory, son Jon and his wife Linda of Aberdeen, MD, son Gary and his wife Judy of Swoope, VA and son Joseph and his wife Deserie of Abingdon, MD; grandchildren Nicole, J.R., Ryan, Kyle, Jenna and Brice Gregory. She is also survived by 10 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gregory lived her adult life in Maryland, 46 years in Arbutus. She enjoyed volunteering and then working at the Catonsville Branch of the Public Library. She also studied floral arranging and made beautiful flowers for the library, friends and family. Mrs. Gregory was known for her cooking and baking and was featured in the Arbutus Times for her culinary talents.


Visiting at the Henry Funeral Home, 1030 W. Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401, on Sunday, June 19, 2011, 6:00-7:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at Thornrose Cemetery (Staunton, VA) on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 11:00 am.
