William Lee Wilson, 85, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, son of the late Arthur Edgar Wilson and Catherine Virginia Wilson (nee Kube). He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Beth Wilson (nee Neuman) and daughters Eleanor Wilson (Alan Hurst) and Elizabeth O'Brien (Michael) and grandsons Rory and Daniel O'Brien. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheryl Green (nee Wilson).

Bill grew up in Overlea and was in the first graduating class from the new Parkville High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland College Park.

Bill worked at Bethlehem Steel for 25 years and enjoyed his time at "the Point" where he met many wonderful people. His later career years included software engineering, his own home improvement company and maintenance manager at Glen Meadows Retirement Community. Bill and Mary Beth traveled together, exploring nooks and crannies and hidden historic gems, but nothing beat the quiet days at Chincoteague Beach after the summer crowds had left.

In his free time, Bill loved projects, big and small - and owned just about every tool made. He was an avid fisherman, boater, railroad enthusiast, reader, and cyclist. He enjoyed volunteering for The Baltimore Museum of Industry and Habitat for Humanity Restore.

Above all, Bill loved to tell a joke and bring a smile to others.
