Zita A. Bauer (Marchant)

On January 25, 2025, Zita A. (nee Marchant) Bauer peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Zita was the beloved wife of the late Conrad Bauer, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 1998. She was a devoted mother to Diane Z. Hommerbocker and her husband Brian, as well as her late son, Paul C. Bauer.

Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Rosalie Marchant, her brother Anthony, and her sisters Mary and Josephine, Zita’s memory will forever be treasured by her numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A private and soft-spoken soul, Zita found great joy in gardening, generously sharing her homegrown vegetables with neighbors. Her pumpkin pies were a beloved treat among family and friends. A talented seamstress, Zita attended the Maryland Institute for Pattern Making and excelled in her craft. It was through her sister Mary that she met her husband, Conrad, a commercial artist and designer, beginning a beautiful partnership filled with love and creativity.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Zita’s life at the E. F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., located at 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Zita will be entombed at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

Zita’s gentle spirit, kind heart, and devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
