SUE ELLEN CALDWELL
I was very sad to hear that Sue Ellen had died. Sue was my first cousin. I was one or two years older but this age difference was never a problem. I considered Sue as a friend and we played together as children.
I remember her joy when Kathy was born. She was thrilled to have a baby sister and Sue would tell me all about Kathy and what a pleasure she brought to Sue. I loved to hear all Sue’s stories about her baby sister.
When I started junior high school Sue wanted to know what it was like. She was excited about the prospect of also going there after she finished at Woodlawn elementary. She was curious about what the classes would be like, was it confusing to change rooms for each subject, and did I like top ride the bus to and from school? She had a lot more enthusiasm for school than I did.
Sue was a special person and I am so sorry she is gone. I will not forget her.
Sincerely,
Marion Ditman Scott
