My Favorite Music Teacher
I am so sad to hear of Mrs. Surplus's passing...and so late. She had been my 7th grade chorus teacher way back at Holabird Jr. High School so many years ago. I loved her then and love her still. Her husband, Arthur, was the Librarian at my Senior High School in Dundalk. We became good friends. I graduated in 1975, but kept in touch with both with a yearly Christmas card. I didn't receive my yearly card the Christmas of 2014 and now I know why. I continue to miss them both and have wonderful memories that I will always cherish.
Rest in peace, dear lady. May you and Art enjoy your eternity together.
