I met Kimberly when my job of 28 years ended abruptly. I was 55 and no one wanted an old, fat bartender. Red lobster
Hired me as a server and Kimberly trained me. I was so scared and felt ridiculous being trained and all the young kids were
Wondering who I was. She took me under her wings and made me feel welcomed and introduced me to everyone. She invited me out with all the kids and everyone started to feel at ease around me. After we reopened in June we were only allowed a few servers. Kim and I were always the only ones on a whole side of the restaurant every shift. We really got closer during that time.
Paige, she was non stop about you and how smart you are and what a good kid you were. She said you were very smart and you were going to make it big in the world. She always said “don’t turn out like me. A server in a crappy restaurant!”
I’m sure you will live up to her expectations. God Bless you child! My heart goes out to you and the whole family.
She started calling me mama lobster. Now they all do. Dana Hinchliff 💋💜

Sitting here with tears in my heart for the loss of such a wonderful person. I did not personally know Kim very well, just recently met her, but I know her daughter Paige because she is my granddaughter Natalie's best friend. Every time Paige comes to visit the Koch's I joke with her, "oh no not you again?" she laughs and rolls her eyes at the old lady. Shes such a sweetheart and good friend to my Natalie, it just breaks my heart to know she has lost her mom. Halloween night was the first time I had officially met Kim. She was helping Natalie and Paige get dressed for the night trick or treating. After, they all sat on the floor and Kim carefully rummaged through all of Paige's candy before she could eat it. Kim talked about was her Dad a lot. And how they were fixing up the house together and having such a great time doing it. Kim said, "he needs me", and laughed. I thought how wonderful to have that time with your Dad. A few nights later we all went out to Bingo, Kim made it quite a fun night. I remember thinking the next time I come to town we will have to do this again. In the two times I saw her, I knew Kim was infectious. Her laughter, her big smile, her generous spirit is what I will remember, only knowing her such a short time I feel cheated. She will live on in her daughter, they were so close. Kim touched the lives of many people and will be missed beyond words. My thoughts, prayers and hugs are with Paige and her family. God grant you all the peace and understanding of such a great loss.
